Tony Alexander

Tony is a co-founder of both SimpleRegistry as well as Traveler's Joy. He brings over fifteen years of business and technology experience and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company.

When Brandon and Tony started Traveler's Joy in 2004, the goal was not only to create the world's best honeymoon registry system and help thousands of couples take their dream vacation, but also to form a company that would allow them to travel and work at the same time. Having succeeded in all of those goals (and then some), Tony currently travels most of the year to diverse locations and sets up shop wherever a good Internet connection can be found. He recently completed a trip around the world without using any airplanes (noairplanes.com). His next goal is to see every NFL team play a home game – in a single season.

Brandon Warner

Brandon's claim to fame is his exciting nine month cycling trip around New Zealand back in 2003 where he met fellow SimpleRegistry and Traveler's Joy co-founder Tony. He reminisces so much about the days of the open road and camping life that most of his colleagues ignore him if the conversation turns to this topic. Since then he has attempted to live close to a body of water where he can surf and work on his beach paddleball game. He graduated from Boston College in 1999 with a B.S. in Economics and Finance and from Duke University in 2008 with a graduate degree in Environmental Economics and Policy. Brandon, his wife Shannon, and their daughter Sienna divide their time between Wilmington (Delaware), Durham, and Milwaukee. He believes his homemade BBQ will someday take first place in a national competition.

Chris Kolik

Chris is a co-founder and major contributor to the development of SimpleRegistry. He got his start with the team back in 2004 developing the first version of Traveler's Joy, took a break, and then rejoined the team in 2009 to lend his hand in forming SimpleRegistry. An Oracle/MySQL DBA by trade, he has a passion for PHP, Perl and object-oriented programming and like a true programmer, is never quite satisfied with his code. "We've got to make it cleaner/faster/better!"

He bucks the trend of most of the team by being more of a homebody than a traveler, unless shuttling kids around can be considered travelling. When not coding, Chris can usually be found spending time with his family doing something related to food (he makes a mean portabella mushroom soup) or faithfully following the ups and downs (mostly downs) of Notre Dame football. Go Irish!

Missy Mecum

Missy has had personal experience with a wedding, a baby, and with fundraising and loves helping customers and their guests with these exciting and important times! She enjoys running, preferably without pushing a jogging stroller and with a perfect playlist on her iPod. She and her husband, Ryan, love great comedies and standup comedians. They also have a passion for several nonprofit organizations, especially ones that focus on children and teenagers. Missy graduated from Miami University as an elementary education major and taught first and third grade for several years. After having two children, she wanted a career that allowed her a more flexible schedule and found it with SimpleRegistry.
