I love bicycles. Old, new, mint, broken, fast, slow, colorful - all of them, really. One of my favorite bike memories was a weekend I spent with a good college friend on the island of Nantucket with a rented tandem bicycle. We traveled there on a wonderful spring weekend in May to search for summer jobs. We camped out on the beaches (yes, illegally) at night and cruised the entire island on our tandem bike by day. We never received a job offer (because we had no housing) but it was still one of my favorite biking weekends. There is just something about the classic tandem bicycle that says 'fun'. I'm still trying to convince my wife that we need one for weekend exploration around the neighborhood and whenever I see a couple on one I'm always quick to point out how cool and fun it must be. Well, my advice is to add one of these to your wedding registry. Your gift givers would love it (and so would I).
