My husband and I were together for 10 years before we got married. During the wedding process, we cringed at the thought of endlessly scanning things and still receiving utterly useless gifts like a picture of a wine cork, artsy bent handle silverware, president BBQ kit, and more.
Meanwhile, our wedding was out of pocket and paycheck to paycheck. We wanted nothing better than to go on a honeymoon but could only do this by asking for funds to assist in the escape. In order to accomplish this, we couldn't go with a typical registry. And thus the search began.

We realized very quickly that SimpleRegistry would be our savior in avoiding the run-of-the-mill registries (which would have been filled with material things that needed to be returned). Oh, the horror!
SimpleRegistry allowed our guests to contribute increments of money towards individual aspects of the trip (such as meals, accommodations, excursions, and souvenirs). Thanks to SimpleRegistry, we were also able to create an aesthetically beautiful itinerary for Costa Rica. Each section of the trip had a description and picture, which helped us organize our adventure. The entire process was extremely easy!
While the trip featured specific gifts, we still had the luxury of knowing that if anything were to change, we had the freedom to go along with those changes. Of course, life threw us a few twists and turns, specifically a typo on a birth certificate that delayed our passport processing, plus the sudden surprise of pregnancy!
Despite all of that, SimpleRegistry enabled us to utilize our funds towards a trip that was more accommodating to our sudden curveballs. Instead of Costa Rica, we were off to Puerto Rico instead. But we didn't have one complaint about it and for that we thank SimpleRegistry for the convenience. We will certainly be utilizing SimpleRegistry in the near future for a fundraiser and more of life's unforgettable events.
