Hello family and friends!

Ben and I are expecting a new addition at the end of February. We are very excited about having a baby, though we are aware that some major life changes are ahead for us. :)

We are not finding out if our baby is a boy or girl until birth and for the moment we refer to the tot as the bean sprout, pumpkin seed, or Roanidel...a mixture of the boy and girl names we've picked out. I know not finding out can cause anxiety for folks who like to buy gender specific items, but feel free to buy as much orange, green and yellow as you like.

We decided to use Simple Registry to make it easier for people to contribute towards our baby supplies and not to be tied to one store in particular. So, please feel free to shop around and we are, of course, flexible when it comes to where you get things. A few places you might consider are: Sprout in SF, Buy, Buy Baby, Babies 'R Us, and Baby World in the Temescal. Amazon and Diapers.com are both great online options. If you do decide to buy something from a store or online instead of contributing money, please make sure to mark "I purchased this item somewhere else." That will make things easier and help prevent multiples of the same things.

For some of the bigger ticket items, we may buy them before the baby is born or they may already be bought, so feel free to check with us before contemplating anything big ticket. We will be happy with whatever anyone gives us and we are already so grateful for all of the love and support we have already received.

We've also really like a lot of the stuff we've seen on Etsy and another tip for fun cheap stuff is Baby Steals, a fun website that offers great deals on baby related items.
