We chose SimpleRegistry because we wanted to create a honeymoon fund, as well as provide our guests the option for "traditional" gifts. Since we've been together for over 10 years (yep - high school sweethearts!), we decided the best thing to register for was an experience we would never forget. As we say, blenders last a few years (the way we use them), but memories of a private beach sunset last a lifetime. Though we looked at a number of "honeymoon-specific" registries (like Traveler's Joy and Honeyfund), we chose SimpleRegistry because they had the lowest transactional fees, and we had the option to adjust how fees were paid. We also loved the ease of adding anything our little hearts desired from all over the web, and customizing our experience on our own website for free.

Our favorite experiences were: visiting the Soggy Dollar bar on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands (a lifetime dream of the bride's), snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters off Virgin Gorda, and exploring St. John in our own jeep (and finding some amazing deserted beaches). It was a trip we'll never, ever forget, and I will look back fondly on our memories and photos even after my 10th blender.

We simply could not have registered for almost anything on our SimpleRegistry with any of the other registry options. We wanted an elegant, enjoyable way for our guests to give us what we really wanted (cash for a dream honeymoon) without the gift feeling impersonal, like simply giving a check often does. We loved that our guests were able to pick out an experience they knew we'd love, and we were able to send thank you's with photos of us enjoying their gifts!
