Dear District 103 Parents, Community Members and Supporters,
Welcome to the Learning Fund Foundation Science Initiative “Gift Registry” site. This site provides all of us with a unique opportunity to support our District’s excellent educational programs, and it is the result of many hours of collaboration between the Learning Fund and District 103 science leaders and instructors.
The Science Initiative follows the Learning Fund’s highly successful Digital Classroom (SmartBoard) initiative, and it is a result of extensive research about how our students can be better prepared for STEM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education in District 103, at Stevenson High School, and beyond. Furthermore, this initiative is an important part of the 21st Century learning framework.
The Science Initiative has a 3-year goal of equipping our science instructors at all grade levels with the technology and equipment needed to take our newly revised science curriculum to an even higher level. The items listed below are the current, highest-priority needs identified by our team. We will continue to evaluate this list and revise it as necessary to ensure that our students have access to items that are developmentally appropriate and represent the best return on our collective investment.
I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to invest in our children’s education and their future as Leaders in Learning.
Thank you for your continued support of District 103.
Scott H. Warren, Ed. D.
Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103
