We've been together through thick and thin
And, even, alas, through thin & flabby.
We have Grandma's china and silver (& such)
But our furniture's looking quite a bit shabby.
Together so long, our bed's old and creaky
We can't sleep a wink; our bodies are aching.
A new bed and mattress would be just the thing
To save our backs and keep them from breaking.
Closet doors - falling off their hinges
Tried to fix them, but we've had to forget it.
Contractor's lined up and ready to go,
But now there's a glitch: he won't work on credit.
No obligation, we just want your presence
But this website seems so easy and clever.
Any gift to make us more comfy
Will help keep our promise to cherish forever.
We have the rings and even the license.
But for our hearts to sing like Patti LaBelle,
Close your eyes, make a wish, it'll surely come true
If you throw a few pennies in our wishing well.
