10 Essential Rules for a Wedding Registry

1. Start early

If you wait too long to set up your registry, friends and family members may not have enough time to use it. On the other hand, by rushing the process, you may forget to include items that will actually be most useful to you.

2. Don't put your registry website info on your wedding invitations

This rule is part of registry etiquette 101. However, it is perfectly okay to include registry information with bridal shower invitations. Also, if you create a wedding website, you can add the site to enclosures sent with the invitation.

3. Use attractive gift categories

According to a recent study, gift givers have a track record of selecting items they believe will make wonderful wedding gifts. They also stay away from certain categories like furniture and tools. 4. Mix it up
